Disabled Persons License Plates & Parking Permits

We issue two types of disabled persons parking permits: a temporary permit is issued if the disability is expected to last for 6 months or less. A permanent permit is issued if the disability is considered to be of a permanent nature. Both types of disabled parking permits require an affidavit to be completed by a Georgia physician and submitted to our office.

Disabled license plates are issued to individuals with a permanent disability only. The vehicle must be titled in the name of the disabled person, or the owner of the vehicle must be the spouse, parent, or legal guardian of the disabled person.
